He said that he is afraid of becoming the focus of attention so he did not report it (there have been lots of actual bomb threats and such directed at Middle Eastern types in our community). Most people in the Islamic community here are afraid of becoming the target of hate crimes. My guess is that the guy was calling all over the country and was effective at scaring some people who would report him.
