If no one is willing to take him to task, what is the point of a UN body?

Lots of parties and dinners, good food and drink, an address in Manhattan instead of, say, Lagos, La Paz or Tripoli, prestige, diplomatic immunity, fawning, an opportunity to tweak the US's nose in its backyard....do I really need to explain it any further?
