No -- in the broadest context -- options are a smaller part of the larger market that includes stocks and options.

Take any most active stock you want and look at the money represented by the volumes of stock and the options -- if that isn't enough for you -- take the OI for the front few months.

Options do not drive the underlying. That's a silly assertion, IMO.
