Wasn't Abu Nidal responsible for the Achille Laurel incident?

Abu committed suicide by shooting himself 4 times in the head last year... Saddam probably saw the "save Saddam" movement's desperation to point out his utter separation and distance from terrorist organizations (see Win's posts for reference) and realized he had better have some of the evidence "suicided".
