Don't know what planet you live on Russett, but here in Alberta, Canada, I am told in exquisite detail about any drug that I purchase from the pharmacist. I am also given a fact sheet, even for drugs as common as Tylenol 3.
I'm confident that it is the same in Ontario.

Furthermore, your comment on doctors spinning patients through their revolving door does not wash in the UK, where the NHS covers the bills.
I saw on the news just yesterday that UK doctors may get up to a 50% pay increase, taking them to an average 125K pounds a year. Not exactly the kind of salary you go around frivolously buying yachts with.
Being a different health care system, it is not in their best interest to "run as many patients as they can".

You are making the (perhaps) false assumption that it is DMSO that is holding up HC & FDA approval.
