The tide appears to be turning !!

What's interesting is the sharp fall in the number of Americans who support unilateral military action:

The appetite for U.S. military action against Iraq without United Nations support has waned over the last week and a half. In the latest poll, just 30% of Americans say the United States should take action unilaterally, down from the 39% who felt this way in the immediate aftermath of Powell's speech

Dubya is unlikely to get the second UN resolution he wants. And if support for unilateral action is eroding so quickly, Dubya is in a box. Of peace. Maybe not that. But his killing capacity will be certainly constrained.

Saving the lives of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis. Now that's a deal that I can live with.
