Nice objective description of the situation. Thanks Ike! IMO, it does not make a difference if Lashkar-e-Taiba renames itself to something else. The important thing is to keep those kinda people under control. Despite all this, I firmly believe there will be no war between India and Pakistan. Both sides have a lot to lose and not much to gain. Therein lies the deterrant.
