AMDZone reports on new nForce SouthBridges:

nForcersHQ.com has discovered that, this fall nVidia will add two parts to the nForce2 MCP family:

1. MCP-S adds serial ATA to MCP, as well as 2 additional USB2.0 ports (8 total) and some commercial networking features.

2. MCP-S with Gigabit Ethernet has all of the features of MCP-S, but the networking support will include a 10/100/1000 MAC instead of 10/100.

The existing nForce2 MCP and MCP-T parts, already the most feature-rich for customers today, will continue to be available. Both versions of MCP-S will sample in 2Q, with production and volume availability in 3Q.
