Casualty figure from China's source is a Scientific figure and basically accurate. And this kind of thing can NEVER be estimated/speculated. There is no reason for Chinese gov. to downplay the casualty. The war IS a war, and every Chinese who is old enough to remember something from 50's knew the casualty in Korean war was big, but not as big as the Western speculation.
