I hope you're right about war being less likely, but I am afraid that Bush has other agendas to complete. He has Jerry Falwell and the Christian Coalition frothing at the mouth for a war...............it's sick but it's true.

There was a great article posted here last night that described how precarious were the positions of many world leaders who supported the war. Hopefully, the strong anti-war sentiment in Europe will help change the flow of the military attack dogs.

Lots of information that is new to me is starting to surface. I'm not sure how much of it is true but some of it is quite bizarre. One story claimed that Kuwait was slant drilling into the Iraq oil fields before Saddam attacked them to start the first GUlf War. I certainly think Saddam is a vile guy, but I sometimes wonder if he wasn't set up and double-crossed for some reason. THere have been many collaborating stories about the US Asst Ambassador giving a non-hostile answer to Saddam when he asked how the US would view an invasion of Kuwait to reclaim disputed oil fields. Of course he did reclaim the whole country which was probably not in the US plan.......................it's hard to know what really happened and what is truly behind the planned invasion of 2003.

I just don't buy the WMD excuse.

IF there is another rally it would be fun to try to meet somewhere. I really wanted to attend this last one but my plans fell through about a week ahead of the march.

My neighbor and I were going to make a night of it in SF but she extended a cruise she was on and didn't get back in time. SHe lived in SF for a while and knows her way around quite well.
