I know LF and symc are not the same, what I meant was that LF is planning a business venture where you download updates to their leappad (different modules or whatever) over the web. I don't know how that will be achieved really but that is the plan, which is a subscription service ala symc.

LF has funding from Ellison and some tech management on the exec team, they are located in emeryville next to berkeley so I think they are more of a technology company than people realize. But that is a futures thing.
