Bob is a shark that not only not understand what he is doing or recommending he is also very poorly informed. Today someone called in and talked about how she found out that a 1-800 call to her credit card company was routed to a service center in India. She asked Bob if service jobs are also going overseas like manufacturing.

Bob said he was surprised and advised her no such thing. it is the exception than the rule. He said the telecom costs are high and it does not make sense for companies to place their service centers in India. He is clearly misinformed as there have been a large number of articles in press on the plight of call center job being exported to India. I called in to cancel my AOL service and I talked to a person in India and she said AOL had 3000 people servicing the calls. Same is true for many banks, utility companies, GE cpaital, cititcorp etc. In fact I know DELL has a tech support center in India.

In fact India has become the call center capital of the world with cheap english speaking educated labor and also cheap broadband costs and also preferable time zone.

Bob is an idiot. Period.
