DAK, As Don Lloyd has pointed out numberous times in his usual erudite way: What's happening is decimation of profits, not increasing of them. {Don, feel free to chime in, don't know if I got it exactly right} Almost all advances in productivity are available to all competitors, and are much more a cost of business survival than a source of profits to the buyers, as opposed to the suppliers. Not only does continued existence depend on continuing investment in new equipment, but the process rapidly destroys the value of existing capital equipment that is no longer competitive except for the new competitor that acquires it for pennies on the dollar at a bankruptcy auction. No one company can keep the advantages of the electronic pink slip to themselves. Regards, Don
