karen, We were pitied, not loved by the europeans, who erroneously thought we would join their club of inaction, anti semitism and appeasement. US came out swinging instead. Squandering pity for respect is not a bad thing. The Iraq mission will set an example to the other arab states tempted to go the wmd/terror route. The NK crisis will be settled peacefully as well imo. There will be casualties in Iraq but they will not be nearly as high as you anticipate unless saddam uses his wmds. Odds are with us, but yes Karen there is danger in action but there is a far greater danger in inaction. Mike
