Rick, I only put in "fireworks" because of the thread title....but with that said, I need some fireworks after the BTRN debacle. So much promise, and all down the drain! Just goes to prove...you better know who you are getting into bed with...and I "ain't" talking about safe-sex! As for VERS, I became acquainted by accident and because of my initial interest in Xoma (don't get me started on that operation). One can only hope that VERS has the drug as it appears they have the right approach to doing the trials. My only concern is that the CEO came from LGND...but maybe Robinson didn't teach him all his bad tricks. One think I've learned from you... don't invest in a biotech unless they at least have a drug into Phase III...not as if this guarantees success, but does improve the odds. Isn't VERS located in your area? I hope the buzz is positive from the "in-crowd"> Send us some good weather!
