Our many packed meat cook was a one time event 30 years ago but I still remember it. It was better than delicious, it was tongue knocking your teeth out good.

For the most part I've found pheasant on the dry side. All in all I'd rather have chicken or rabbit. You can't domesticate a pheasant. Get them from chicks, raise them in a cage and they still are wild. Of course they still don't have the wild taste they get from eating grubs, weed seeds and grains.
