I disagree, October is still very much in my memory.


You, sir, are NOT the typical trader/investor, so my statement doesn't apply to you. Besides, October marked an important bottom, so I, too, have memories of that month. Fond ones, for the most part. The bad memory is that my system had a decidedly bearish bias at that time that I didn't correct until a week or two after the bottom came and went, much to my chagrin.
