Ray - You know what amazes me about the argument you (and many others like you) make about sending our troops into harms way?... Our military is a VOLUNTEER service - they are trained for this and will go willingly. Why do people like you feel the need to assume that our military is not willing to preserve freedom and provide security so that you can sleep at night? It is clear that you and those that think like you have never been in the military. Additionally, it shows that you (and those who think like you) lack the integrity to serve your country (as your fore fathers did). The the lifestyle and liberties that you enjoy so much were not free - they were paid for by people willing to do that which you are not willing to do. Quit assuming that "harm's way" is a death sentence and start believing in and supporting our military. Good night. Tom U.S. Navy, BUD/s 186, SEAL Team 5, 13 years of proud service, now a civilian. One more thing... Hundreds of thousands of Viet Nam War vets feel that they've been abandoned by their government. People like you were the ones spitting on them when they stepped off the plane.
