I wish you'd explain your optimism about bpi. I will grant that bpi has shown enormous promise in in-vitro tests, but it continually comes up short in in-vivo studies.

I have concluded that the process in which bpi interacts with bacteria in-vivo is a far more complex issue than Xoma will publicly admit. However, their inaction in continuing larger-scale development of bpi speaks volumes.
