OT >>>>>>>> stock "research"

Could it be that street research has turned from being used to move IPO's to moving excess inventory of institutional clients. I only state this because someone posted an item on a Nokia thread that made a big deal about Janus getting back into Nokia after selling heavily throughout 2002.

Could Janus have gotten back into Nokia to reduce the cost of unloaded inventory? Could they now be interested in getting their purchases publicized to start dribbling additional holdings into the hands of others?

Can't technical analysis be applied to "how" one buys and sells, in addition to speculating on "when" to buy and sell? In a environment of full and complete disclosure being smart on the "how" may be more important than being a good selector of "what".

Just idle, cynical speculation in an attempt to add reason to a quirky world.
