Bob Herbert has an interesting column on affirmative action in today's New York Times. Follow the money.

I read that column last night, groaned, and said, "I hope John does not post it. If he doesn't, I will leave it alone." Here is the key statement from it. It implies that anti-affirmative action movement is being run and financed by racists. Your, "follow the money" comment shows that you picked up on it and posted it because you agree with it. The attempt to "Blacken" the movement though using the "McCarthy" technique of "Guilt by association" could not be more obvious.

>>>>> The driving force behind the Michigan University cases, for example, is the Center for Individual Rights, a right-wing outfit that in its early years, as Mr. Cokorinos noted, received financial support from the Pioneer Fund, an organization that spent decades pushing the notion that whites are genetically superior to blacks.<<<<<<

You blithely post this kind of calumny when you read it about the right. I guess what is "sauce for the goose" is not "sauce for the gander."
