That was great. I thought I would also pass on a portion of an E mail from my brother who is right now in Penang on business. The news we are all presented with is part of the problem also it is apparent.

Then the ugly head of politics was raised when they asked me what I
thought about the US fixitation with going to war with everyone. After 10
minutes of Jay tirade I figured it was time to shut up when I thought that
this probably wasn't the best place to express my 'kill em all' mentality
when I am sitting in a room with 50 other Muslim guests.
As we talked it became very clear that there are very different
perceptions as to what is going on in the world and I am starting to see
why. The newspaper that is delivered every morning has story after story
about Palestinian hardships and how Isreal for no reason whatsoever comes
and kills all their babies, sprays them with birth control gases (?), ruins
all their schools so they can't learn. etc. etc. etc. etc.
After I read this mornings paper, I wanted to kill a few Israelis. Same
goes for TV. CNN over here is based in Hong Kong and the news is highly
slanted against US and very favorable towards Muslin causes. I thought CNN
US was bad, it pales compared to here. I can definitly see how the people
percieve the US as a bunch of out of control colonists just looking for
countries to take over.
George Bush telling everyone Sadamm is a evil man just doesn't cut it for
swaying peoples believe about things.
