would be fine except for Y2K. Since almost every corporation wanted to be Y2K compliant, they synchronized their buying cycles. If this analysis is correct, we may soon see a brief upsurge in demand. This upsurge is likely to be muted, because of reduced CapEx budgets, and lack of new software requiring more powerful machines.
