Ted Re...History rarely if ever repeats itself.
This coming form the idiot savant of Seattle. History can, and does repeat iteslf, it is the variations in the occupants which can change the outcome somewhat, but the basis of that saying, Darwins theories on the survival of the fittest still hold, even today.
While sharing some Hitler like similarities, Saddam Hussein, really, is a whole different ball game that may require a whole different approach to resolve.
There are far too many similarities to ignore them. Saddams ability to kill massive amounts of people won't be compromised once he uses his WMD. The difference now is that the US is there to control Saddam, whereas Hitler had no such controls. Saddam has already killed over 2 mil. Hitler probably did in 8 to 10 mil. Saddam if left to his devices, building WMD, and If Israel hadn't taken out his nuclear reactor, could easily have killed as many.
I guess we should be grateful that so many have long memories and are quick to remind us of that fact!
Just as Saddam is happy to have people like you defending his evil ways; while ignoring history's evil doers of the past. Surely, you say, Saddam isn't as evil; however if Hitler would have had the US to check him, 8 million more people might be alive; and Saddam would be rated more evil. |
