I think that part of that nationalism is in reaction to the reaction that we are seeing from the international community.

I really don't feel the need to lash out and punish the French or Germans or Belgians, but I certainly don't have any desire to see my hard earned dollars go into their economy. This is what I refer to freemarket international policy. I believe that much of the international community is doing the same with the US too. And that is something that I can respect. My attitude certainly has changed since 9/11. My views of the world have become very jaded. And that is something that I regret. I would have preferred to live in ignorant bliss.
