It surely is a coup, but would he have been able to get $400 Million for NeXT if Apple didn't want HIM because of the mystique surrounding his name?

He probably has learned a lot since he left Apple, so he may have much more to offer Apple than when he left. I wouldn't underestimate him and the fact that he has the ability to get more than a company is worth (perhaps) might be what he can offer to Apple. But who else would have paid him that much, so who else would buy Apple from him for more than it's worth? How's that for a conundrum? LOL
