Stockman--that's very, very great news. The best I've heard in a long time. I think--due the worldwide public opinion and the pressure the US coalition of the willing allies are under from their own electorates--that this could work.

Besides, Bush really does need to concentrate very, very heavily on North Korea.

I find it a bit ironic, however, that after the US goes around the world trying to bribe and blackmail as many allies as it could in order to get both votes and coalition members, that itself could be bribed and blackmailed into accepting this deal due to the oil concession.

But Bush would be able to declare a victory, and actually get away with it under the Russian proposal.

PS: Some hawks on this thread, however, might be disappointed should Bush take the deal.
