I am not familiar with the jet sale. I thought the French fought with us to liberate Kuwait? The French had oil interests in Iraq long before the Gulf War--back when we were supporting Saddam against the Iranians. Disagree with the French-sure-- but save your wrath for the Saudis & the other Arab states which our government calls friends. The Saudis funded 9-11 & have used the $ we give them for oil to promote anti-Americanism & the most extreme form of Islam. Where would you rather live-Saudi Arabia(our friend?) or France(our enemy?). -France is a Democracy. People can speak what they believe. Among the Democracy of nations, there will be disagreements. -Women are not forced to wear veils in France--They are in Saudi-Arabia. -Without the French we would not have achieved our liberation from the Brittish. -The French resistance was instrumental in making D-Day possible. -Americans fought and died to liberate France from the Nazis so that they could speak their minds. If they disagree with us, so be it.
