Its not surprising that you think the lower middle class and the working class are not the same thing.

I never said anything of the sort. I did say that those with 0 income tax liability before the cut would be considered lower class not middle class even if some of them have jobs.


The lower middle class and the working class are synonymous. And the working class is not benefitting from the GOP's tax cuts because by the time you figure in all their deductions for children and mortgage payments, they don't pay any taxes.

So then, how is your original premise that the GOP is the friend of the working class as evidenced by these tax cuts true? The working class does not benefit from the tax cuts, Bush's friends do.....the rich and very rich.

The majority of the income tax cut effects those who make the most because they pay the majority of the income taxes. However the cut as a % of income is greater for many people who could be called lower middle class or working class. Some of them will not longer have to pay any taxes.

Most do not pay taxes and will not feel the effects of the tax cuts. Furthemore, why should tax cuts benefit the rich just because they pay more. The incomes of the top 20% continue to widen the gap from the lowest 80%.....is it America's version of noblesse oblige? And why should that make the working class more loyal to the GOP?
