If we have war, that's 600 billion deficit to begin, plus a likely 400 billion next year, or more. So one trillion in two years for Bush, then he's asking to be re-elected. Ha! If he is re-elected, we could be facing a multi-trillion deficit within 6-7 years. Or more. This is no exaggeration. In fact, this assumes no deeper recessions, wars or calamities. The fact is, whatever the deficit amount, most of that can be avoided by curtailing tax cuts to the richest Americans and by using common sense not hysteria when weighing military priorities. With these deficits we can also expect a weaker dollar, higher interest rates and continued sinking stock markets. Fasten your seatbelts folks, and if you have common sense get behind John Kerry and even send him a check. He's probably the one man who can save us from this, but only with all our help.
