Nissan 350Z Horsepower: 287 hp Weight: 3188 lbs. Price $28,196

100 more HP, slight less weight and over $5k less. Of course the BMW is a little more practical and refined.

My current car Horsepower: 170 hp Weight: 2769 lbs.

Lbs per HP (lower is better)

350Z 11.1
95 Contour 16.2
BMW 17.5

2000 323i (last year of the 323i)

170 hp Weight 3153 lbs lbs per HP 18.5

Even a Hond Civic Si has a better HP to weight ratio then either of the base model BMW's at 17.15 pounds per HP.

BMW 330is and M3s do better (14.6 and 10.25) but cost about $40k and $55k
