$30 billion in loans

Ankara, Turkey, Feb. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Turkey may get as much as $30 billion in loans from the U.S. to help cover losses from a war in Iraq, Economy Minister Ali Babacan said.

``The U.S. has pledged to provide credit facilities of $20-30 billion,'' Babacan told reporters in parliament. He spoke during a break in a meeting at which the government is seeking to persuade lawmakers from the ruling party to vote in favor of allowing 62,000 U.S. troops into the country.
