To begin with, their countries would have to start spending a lot more on their military, and less on social programs. The pacifist vision of the army having a bake sale to raise money is entertaining, but when push comes to shove, they're going to scream for help, and they know that we'll come running, because that's what we do.

So, no, they know that they aren't going to get what they wish for.

I am waiting for the expressions of strategy to counter The National Security Strategy and am not seeing them, at all. Anywhere.

Just some grumbling about arrogance.

No countervailing visions of the future.

Maybe I'm missing them, but I don't think so.

I think it accurately states the facts.
