Bob I prefer the using these McClellan Charts. Notice how the bottoms line up with the previous market bottoms.

The market still looks top heavy here to me but we are seeing loads of volatility and we could find a bottom in a few weeks. The volatility due to short covering is causing these quick and furious pops higher then fear sets in as sales of long positions weaken any strength. The lack of volume on the buying continues to allow the market to head back lower.

You know what I am hoping to see to point out a bottom. We are not there yet. And as always I could be way off in my analysis. I just don't think so.
