COINCIDENTAL SOIL, IP AND GRAVITY ANOMALIES ALONG TREND FROM ...
Entree Gold has released the results of a soil survey completed over the East Grid zone on the company's Shivee Tolgoi property, immediately north of and along trend from Ivanhoe Mines' Far North zone of mineralization. Anomalous copper, molybdenum and gold values in soils extend over a 900-metre northerly strike, on trend with the Far North zone, located approximately 1,500 metres south of the Entree-Ivanhoe boundary. This soil anomaly is coincident with a gravity anomaly that was presented by Ivanhoe at the Cordilleran Roundup Conference in Vancouver, January, 2003. This gravity anomaly, which remains open to the north, extends for at least 1.0 kilometre onto Entree's property and appears to be continuous with the Far North zone of mineralization to the south. An IP survey completed by Entree over this area highlighted two structures, the westernmost structure being along strike from the western bounding structure of the Far North zone. The coincidental soil, gravity and IP anomalies clearly suggest the system hosting the Far North zone extends northwards for at least one kilometre onto Entree's ground and remains open to the north.
A second northerly trending zone in the East Grid area, which consists of soils anomalous in lead, arsenic and molybdenum, lies approximately two kilometres to the east of the western IP anomaly. This suggests the northerly trending structural system may be at least two kilometres in width.
Soils collected over Entree's zone III epithermal gold target returned anomalous values in gold, arsenic and antimony. These soil anomalies can be traced over 300 metres along strike and coincide with high-grade trench samples that returned 18 metres averaging 1.39 grams per tonne gold with high-grade samples to 18.4 grams per tonne and 29.2 grams per tonne gold.
Both the East Grid area extension to the Far North zone and the zone III epithermal system will be subject to continuing exploration.
Soil samples were collected and prepared on site under the supervision of Robert Cann, PGeo, a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101, and shipped to Acme Analytical Laboratories in Vancouver, B.C., for analysis.
