He has also had years not to do anything much. How do you factor that into your calculations? Other countries have been a good deal more belligerent during those years. Should we not prioritize on the basis of who poses the most danger? And if you do prioritize on that basis, I still don't see how anyone comes up with Saddam as the biggest threat. I know some people here vehemently believe that- but even at the peak of his power, and with the support of the US, the USSR, the Saudis and Kuwait, the guy and his country couldn't beat Iran- didn't even get any territory out of the war. So it's hard for me to see just how this defeated guy could be so dangerous now. Sure, he is an irritant, but he should hardly be our number one concern, and a reason to alienate the rest of the world. IMO
