Manifest Destiny was a phrase used by leaders and politicians in the 1840s to explain continental expansion by the United States. Correct me if I'm wrong, but we haven't annexed any country in a couple hundred years, nor have we as a nation re-adopted such a strategy just waiting to spring it on Iraq! How silly you look.
