J.D., you are indeed (aren't we all?).

Yes, 1954, but the mighty Indians (awesome starting rotation of Lemon, Wynn, Garcia and a fourth--can't remember) went DOWN to the Willie Mays' Giants--his catch sprinting, with his back square to that black bordered delimiting thing, to dead centerfield in the old Polo Grounds (the longest shot possible in any ball park with walls, ever) off of Vic Wertz has frequently been called the greatest catch ever (in my book, Amoros' catch off, I think, Yogi at the leftfield wall of Yankee Stadium in Game 5 of the 55 Series was close). I was 7 years old at the time of the '54 Series. So there, all you young whippersnappers!
