I usually try to buy puts on big up days and calls on down days for that reason. I know option guys pretty much screw just about everybody, but this makes zero sense. I bought the puts when the volatility was working in may favor, and with the stock down pretty good today there is still no premium appreciation on the puts. I am very friggin frustrated.
