Palestine has never existed -- before or since -- as an autonomous entity. It was ruled alternately by Rome, by Islamic and Christian crusaders, by the Ottoman Empire and, briefly, by the British after World War I.

Using that analogy India should not exist, because it never existed as an autonomous entity until the Brits came in and more importantly, left.

There is no language known as Palestinian. There is no distinct Palestinian culture. There has never been a land known as Palestine governed by Palestinians. Palestinians are Arabs, indistinguishable from Jordanians (another recent invention), Syrians, Lebanese, Iraqis, etc.

Using the same analogy as before, there is no language knows as "Indian". Indians are indistiguishable from Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, etc. Until after the Brits left, there was never a land called India governed by Indians.

IMHO a very weak article proclaiming a Myth.
