IMO Tony Blair is is the only man outside the US who has been fully informed as to total and specific information we have on Saddam's WMD's .
It was enough to convince him of the seriousness of the matter, and being convinced, he was able to convince
other party members
It has become obvious that even France, if completely informed, would make a political issue of it and try to
effect some control over what should be done about it , despite the fact a delay could be very costly to the US
France would most likely propose a different agenda if they were alone in the matter and not under the protection afforded by the US military capabilities.
What proof does the world need ?.
Saddam has missiles with a range longer than permitted.
He has prohibited bombs that were supposedly destroyed and filled with a liquid that is most surely, a biological
formula.
If we go in and find a missile loaded with chemicals and targeted at Tel Aviv, Saddam would say he was "set up " , that we installed it, retargeted it, loaded it or whatever and some will believe it to be true.
We will never have enough evidence to convince everybody ( some say the CIA knew in advance of the 9-11 event and let it go forward)
Entire countries can be fooled and misled if their press and TV are controlled by a government propaganda machine
This is the advantage of a Coalition, which we will have regardless of a UN decision, observers from at least 20 Nations will be able to verify what was or was not found on the march to ground Zero.
