Will wars work against terrorism? If you look at history that is not the case. The US is acting like an imperial power now and that usually leads to MORE terrorism not less. Our forces are spread out already in some 40-50 countries. We cannot afford to clean up the entire planet of regimes we dont like. If we try we may suffer greatly, and our economy will certainly continue suffering so long as we have a war mentality in the White House. Remember, we were hit on 9-11 by a small group of stateless people. The closest thing they had to a state was Afghanistan. Othger than that there are no state terrorists. So we need friendly alliances everywhere to get permissions and intelligence to find terrorist cells and eliminate them. This is the way you win and it has nothing to do with what Bush id up to in Iraq now. Instead, Bush seems to have an imperial oilgarchy strategy in mind. Iraq and Iran both have oil and he has them in his sights. But he largely ignores greater threat North Korea. And he's making nice with the Saudis, Pakistan and Yemen, all centers of terrorism. Dont tell me this is a clean and healthy agenda.
