Indisputably the most important function of our government is the national defense. And now, the liberals tell us we can't afford it? I don't think so. If we can't afford something, I would argue it is the horrible farm bill giveaway, large chunks of DHS, or one of a million other things. All that said, the deficits we're facing are not material. It really isn't a lot of money when compared with our GNP. Yeah, let's hear your song when the war is over and the gov't is soaking up all the liquidity in the market place, forcing interest rates to jump to 10% and the economy becomes inflationary. All this to pay for your dirty war that has little to do with national defense. I figure that will take us right up to the 2004 elections. ted
