In 1997 I subscribed to a couple of (expensive) Bernie Schaeffer’s fax options trading programs. I opened an account with a brokerage, which would execute his faxes automatically, without me having to talk to them. Nice idea for a dollar printing press, wouldn’t you say… Anyway, my account went down about as steeply as Bernie promised it would be going up. Over the next several months it was practically gone. That much for a serious pro succeeding at this game. And Bernie indeed IS a serious pro. Not many people understand options and sentiment as well as he does.
