God who gave us life gave us liberty. YOU are the one that told me Jefferson believed God had nothing else to do with the earth after He created it...the quote above says different, right? I am ready to admit that Jefferson could have been a deist, what you people totally deny is that he was only ONE of many founders. By and large, the majority were Christians, and the writings, the schooling, the documents prove that as fact. There is not much use in me repeating and posting quote after quote after quote is there? I have done that before here, so if you want to see any of them, go back a find them yourselves. So you just keep on wearing those blinders and believing the lie. Bottom line is the founders did not want to see a STATE religion forced on the people. and there has not been.
