McRitchie, the rapture doctrine is nineteenth century doctrine. Christ and the disciples were Preterists. There is too much said about the immanency of Christ's return in the Bible for you to call anyone heretical. I used to be a good little Christian like you when the church would promise the bye and bye, pie in the sky end times doctrine. At the urging of several Preterists on this thread I began to look at Scripture and the verses that were always passed over by the preachers.

I then read "The Parousia" by J. Stuart Russell and "The Last Days According To Jesus" by R.C. Sproul and it changed my outlook on End Times doctrine forever.

You see, its all about being open-minded and studying in an adult manner without letting preconceived teachings to let you be led astray. Please, for your own welfare, take a new, fresh look into the truth instead of what is easy to believe. Man's Doctrine.

James
