I don't know why Dan Rather would be so easy on Saddam?!? Perhaps he didn't want to walk out of the studio with his balls in his hands. I doubt it had anything to do with his feelings for America or Republicans. He was probably nervous about upseting that sick bastard. Or, just was afraid of being too controversal.
