JT,

The supposed "cream of the crop" for diversified income trusts is Enervest (EIT.UN). I just had my retired mother buy some for income since her $$$ were all stashed in GICs and were diminshing far faster than she will!!

Likewise, I also had her purchase a mutual fund called Saxon High Income Fund, which is an income trust mutual fund with a very good track record. Minimum $5,000 investment.

Myself, I hold a few trusts but hold a LOT of Shiningbank (SHN.UN) which is 80% natural gas. I've been buying for a few years because I believed in gas as a solid commodity play. A year ago I looked like a fool, although new units just kept DRIPping in (at a low price). Today, I'm feeling much better!!!!

BTW, I picked up a small pile of T.PFN after checking it out. It's nice to have an "active" play as compared to the income trusts.

ALSO: Here's a pretty good site for income trust information: members.shaw.ca

GLTUA,
Marcman
