You know he manipulates the numbers to help the image. Do you really think he recommended a 65% cash allocation to hedge a bad CTR play later?

Of course not. He made the 65% recommendation because he was only about 30% confident in his model in Jan. 2000. But those who took 100% off the table had even more confidence than Brinker and should not be dismissed.

Since he now has a need to make his QQQueen size loss look less daunting he finds it useful to emphasize the 65% factor. No doubt, had it gone the other way he would find it more useful to use 100% instead in his spin.

At any rate, it's Brinker's inability to be candid that is the root of his problem with the public now. Whether you put 9.5% or 50% in Q's Brinker failed to handle the trade in a professional manner. His back-peddling now simply amounts to an attempt to whitewash what amounts to an amateur tip.
