Yes, they have potential.
They may even have more staying power than ESS if they play their cards right. It was touch and go there for awhile but now with some DVD wins they should breath easier on the financial front.

We'll have to see how things progress but so far I score it this way:

For PC systems:
Chromatic: Gateway & Micron
Cube: NEC & Packard Bell.

For PC upgrades:
Chromatic: E4 (still?)
Cube: DiamondMM, Creative Labs, Quadrant & E4

For consumer:
Cube: Samsung & Aiwa

There still are a number of DVD wins to be had (no Patrice I don't have a count for you). Some may have allready occured but won't get announced until the manufacture ships.

Chromatic's handicaps are that they need a Pentium close by. So for now consumer systems wins are tough. They have significantly more power consumption so that leaves out laptops.
Their partners Toshiba and/or SGS could help them with this but both have competing DVD products. So who knows.

You can bet though, that ESS made Cube much more aware of their surroundings.
